Head north to Scroby Sands — seals, wind turbines and Lowestoft in one epic trip.
This is the big one. We head north from Southwold, hugging the Suffolk and Norfolk coast, on our way to Scroby Sands — a sandbank off the coast of Great Yarmouth that's home to a large colony of both grey and common seals.
The seals at Scroby Sands are famously curious and unafraid of boats. They bask on the sands and in the water, and they often swim right up alongside the RIB to investigate their visitors. It's an extraordinary, up-close wildlife encounter that you simply cannot replicate any other way.
Along the way, you'll also pass through the Scroby Sands offshore wind farm — an impressive sight up close, with towering turbines rising from the sea. We'll take you right in amongst them for a perspective on renewable energy you won't forget.
